Books to Read This Holiday Season
‘Tis the season!
As the holidays are approaching and winter has finally arrived, here is the ultimate Christmas/ cozy winter book recommendations. So grab some hot coco, a blanket, and one of these books to feel the winter vibes!
Snowed In by Catherine Walsh: Megan’s back in her hometown for the holidays, trying to avoid the drama after leaving Isaac, her now ex fiancé, at the altar years ago. Christian is charming, witty, and hates spending Christmas alone, especially when visiting home. And when they meet in a Dublin pub they decide to fake date to survive their family chaos. They go through snowed in cabins, awkward reunions, and lots of hometown drama. This is definitely one of my personal favorites. I mean I finished it in one day, such a fun, cute read!
Cruel Winter with You by Ali Hazelwood- Jamie Malek just wants to borrow a roasting pan for a Christmas dinner, but she has to deal with Marc, who is her childhood friend’s brother. And now tech billionaire… oh and she broke his heart years ago. Snowed in together during a blizzard, old memories and tension flare up. Marc has so much charisma, and watching them navigate being trapped together makes it the perfect cozy winter read.
My December Darling by Lauren Asher- Catalina’s just trying to be the maid of honor at her sister’s wedding without drama, but that’s becoming a little difficult when Luke Darling, her ex-boyfriend’s best friend, is also the best man. Luke is stubborn, charming, and not taking no for an answer, and he’s determined to make Catalina notice him before she leaves Lake Wisteria. Reading their banter was so so cute and the story was very fast paced. Seriously, I loved this one!
Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison- Stella Bloom just wants to save her childhood Christmas tree farm, so she enters a contest with a cash prize. Only she lies about having a boyfriend to make the farm seem more romantic. So who is her non- existent boyfriend? Her best friend Luka Peters. The small town vibes are so cute, it honestly felt like a Hallmark movie. There was a lot of soft, vulnerability, and found family. Lovelight Farms is an amazing small town romance/ holiday book!
In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren- Maelyn Jones is having a rough year and on top of that spending her last Christmas at her favorite Utah cabin. So she makes a wish and ends up in an insane time loop, reliving the same holiday over and over again. Mae has to figure out what really makes her happy and break the timeloop. It’s a funny and chaotic story, with magical realism that sets it apart from other Christmas books.
The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter- Maggie Chase and Ethan Wyatt are rival mystery writers who get stuck at a snowbound English estate right before Christmas. At the same time as the famous author Eleanor Ashley mysteriously disappears from a locked room in that very estate! It’s such a wonderful blend of rom-com and mystery. The whole book is very much so giving knifes out and the mystery was really good. But the romance was not as exciting, it kind of felt too rushed. Although I still recommend it if you’re looking for a different take on a Christmas book.
Enjoy your holidays, your reading, and I’ll see you guys in the New Year! ❤️
